Before making any adjustment, feed the strap trough the machine!!
Loosen the set screw (11).
This allows the Press Arm Shaft to rotate freely.
Adjust the clearance marked C .
The strap can be used as a feeler guage when setting the correct gap
Tighten the set-screw (11) securely.
Verify the clearance after tightening.
Fine adjustment may be required after several strapping cycles.
Run one strapping cycle to ensure the machine stops in the home position.
Check that (7) and (8) are approximately aligned.
This provides the initial rough adjustment
Verify the arrow on BR1.
It should point towards the conveyors at approximately +45°, as shown in the illustration.
Adjust the timing:
Loosen screw (10).
Slightly rotate the Timing Plate (6).
Tighten screw (10).
Run one additional strapping cycle and check the arrow position.
Repeat the adjustment until the arrow points in the correct direction.
• Blow or brush away plastic residues, dust and strap debris from the machine – especially around:
The tensioning and sealing unit
The strap track
Photo sensors and micro switches
• Check that the strap feeds correctly without friction or damage.
• Verify that the seal is strong (no loose joints). Use the separate inspection form.
Recommended:
• Empty the strap magazine to prevent the strap from taking shape and causing feeding problems during startup. The strap should be rewound onto the coil.
• Cover the machine during factory cleaning.
(Protective machine covers are available for purchase.)
• Ensure that boxes are positioned fully against the stop wall during sealing.
Any gap here may result in loose straps.
• Clean the sealing element.
• Check the strapping function and adjust if necessary.
• Test all machine functions in manual mode.
• Inspect the strap track to ensure the strap path is free from deformation.
• Check the adjustment of moving parts according to the machine manual:
Tensioning mechanism
Lifting / lowering arms
Gripper / knife arms
• Inspect drive belts, rollers and springs for wear.
• Check electrical connections for loose contacts.
• Verify the temperature of the sealing element and adjust if the seal is too weak or overheated.
• Perform a complete cleaning, including disassembly of the strap track if necessary.
• Inspect knives / cutting mechanism and replace if worn.
• Check sensors and switches.
• Adjust BR1, BR2, BR3 and CL2. Verify correct function and inspect the tensioning mechanism and associated components.
• Check the cycle switches LS1 and LS2, as well as the machine home position.
Component Replacement Interval (Approx.)
Sealing element / heating knife 6–12 months
Knife / cutter 6–12 months
Springs and belts 12–24 months
Sensors / photo cells When faulty
